The GMB recently sent Evri couriers the following communication via text message regarding the Evri proposal to change the Evri Lifestyle courier round rates.
Dear GMB Member,
Some of you may be aware that Evri ( the Company) have recently started to contact Lifestyle Couriers, inviting them to a ‘pay negotiation’ meeting. These emails contain suggested lower rates to take effect from the beginning of P12 ( 27th January).
If you have received such an email we need you to do 2 things.
Firstly, if approached by your CDM to discuss a rate review, you should refuse to enter into any conversation with them and simply state that you will require your GMB representative to be present at any such meeting. Tell them that you will provide a convenient time & place for the meeting once you have confirmation of your Rep’s availability. Make it clear that, until such time as this ‘negotiation’ has taken place, that you DO NOT consent to any reduction in your rates and that the status quo & terms of your contract/ rate should remain.
